Founders’ Room
Weird fiction is the oldest form of storytelling.
When humans gathered around fires, they told tales of heroes and ordinary folk encountering things they could not explain. There were creatures that should not exist, dead men who walked, monsters from the sky and the deep earth, and powerful entities that didn’t care about us, but whose actions impacted our fate.
The American magazine that named this genre arrived in 1923, but our thing is much older, and that is what this room is for. This room is for the myth, the ancient and obscure, and the ancestors that inspired the early Weird Tales authors.
